About Us

Distinct Films was founded by Andrew Pengilley in 2009 out of a desire to create interesting and unique films. Distinct; being a name to aspire to. Andrew was born on 14th January 1980 in the city of Bath, where he still lives. His parents and older brother are artists, so creativity runs in the family. Andrew Studied Art and Design at college and University. During that time his love of watching films turned into a passion for making them. 

Since 2007 Andrew has been producing self-funded short films from original material. Often working closely with friends and family. Enjoying screenings at film festivals around the world, including The Cannes Film Festival (2011 and 2013). He has also been a member of the Saltford Drama Club.

Andrew constantly strives to improve and progress in distinctive filmmaking.
